Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

• "Service" means watch repair or restoration work carried out by Tourbillo.
• "Client" means any individual who requests a service or enquires about a service.
• "Piece" or "Watch" means the timepiece entrusted to Tourbillo for assessment or service.
• "Scope Note" means the written description of work to be carried out, provided before work begins.
• "We/Us/Our" refers to Tourbillo and its technicians.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an enquiry, dropping off a piece, or instructing us to begin work, you agree to these terms. You must be 18 or over and have the legal capacity to enter into a service agreement. If a piece belongs to a third party, you confirm you have their authority to commission work on it.

3. Services Offered

Tourbillo currently offers three services:

• Crown & Stem Repair (฿3,900 base price)
• Chronograph Service (฿15,200 base price)
• Full Restoration Project (฿34,800 base price)

Service availability is subject to our assessment that the work falls within our current capabilities. We reserve the right to decline work that we cannot carry out to the appropriate standard.

4. Scope and Agreement

No work will begin without a written Scope Note describing what will be done, why, and at what cost. Parts replacement, where required, will be quoted separately before any parts are ordered or fitted. You must confirm agreement in writing (email is acceptable) before work proceeds.

5. Timelines

We provide an estimated timeline with the Scope Note. Timelines are estimates in good faith and are not contractual commitments unless explicitly stated as such in writing. If a delay arises, we will notify you promptly and provide a revised estimate. You may withdraw from the service at any point prior to completion; costs incurred to that point will be invoiced.

6. Pricing and Payment

• All prices are in Thai Baht (฿) inclusive of applicable VAT.
• Base service prices cover the standard scope of each service. Parts replacement is billed separately.
• Full payment is due on collection or delivery of the watch. For restoration projects, a 50% deposit may be requested before work begins on long-duration or high-value jobs.
• We accept bank transfer and cash. Specific payment methods will be confirmed at the time of agreement.
• Uncollected watches held beyond 60 days after completion may be subject to a storage charge.

7. Care of Your Watch

While your watch is in our care:

• It will be stored in an individual numbered tray in a locked cabinet when not being actively worked on.
• It will be handled only by the assigned technician.
• We hold basic workshop cover insurance. We recommend clients maintain their own insurance for high-value pieces. A signed receipt with declared value will be issued on acceptance.
• In the event of accidental damage caused solely by our negligence, our liability is limited to the reasonable cost of repair or, where repair is impossible, the fair market value of the piece at the time of damage.

8. Condition on Acceptance

We will document the condition of the piece at the time of acceptance. Pre-existing damage, wear, and known defects will be noted. We are not liable for pre-existing damage discovered during work, but we will inform you of anything identified before proceeding.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, design, and images — is owned by or licensed to Tourbillo. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any content without our prior written consent.

10. Disclaimers

• Services are provided with reasonable skill and care. We do not represent that a particular outcome (e.g., achieving a specific rate accuracy) will always be achievable, as this depends in part on the age and condition of the movement.
• Website content is provided for information only and may not be fully up to date at all times.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Thai law, our total liability for any claim arising from a service shall not exceed the amount paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g., loss of use, sentimental value) save where such limitation is not permitted by applicable law.

12. Cancellation

You may cancel a service request at any time before work begins with no charge. If work has begun, you will be invoiced for the proportion of work completed and any parts already sourced. Completed services are non-refundable unless there is a demonstrable fault attributable to our work.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute arising from these terms or a service agreement shall first be referred to informal resolution. If that fails, the dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts with competence over Phuket Province.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
